As a category manager, you are responsible for the entire furniture collection, both indoor and outdoor. An understanding of the supply chain and logistics, along with strong product knowledge, is essential to ensuring our desired quality standards. You monitor market developments in consumer behavior, trends, and price trends and respond to them in a strategic manner. With your persuasiveness and negotiation skills, you consistently succeed in putting together a surprising, inspiring, distinctive, and contemporary collection, in line with Colmore's style, at the best price.

What will you do?

  • Implementing sourcing and quality policies, negotiating with (primarily foreign) suppliers to secure optimal delivery terms and the best prices, and exploring opportunities for collaboration within the supply chain.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing suppliers in accordance with the supplier strategy, and drafting and managing supplier contracts.
  • Conducting analyses to develop and translate the product assortment plan and pricing strategy into concrete category objectives and actions.
  • Evaluating and analyzing results, comparing them with market trends and internal data, and proposing improvements as needed.
  • Determining and adjusting sales prices in line with pricing policy and developments in purchasing and competition.
  • Managing and planning activities within the category team and monitoring the product range plan. Coaching, developing, motivating, and leading your colleagues.

  • You have financial acumen and are analytically and numerically strong.
  • You don't get thrown off track when processes are adjusted based on new insights. In fact, you play a key role in optimizing internal processes.
  • You're willing to travel abroad several times a year to visit trade shows and suppliers.
  • You have a college-level education and way of thinking.
  • You have at least three years of experience in a similar position.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills.
  • You are a strong communicator, results-oriented, and analytical.
  • You are fluent in English and German.
